JAG, The Blogger
In her first four years out of college, Julie, a longtime product junkie, worked in the beauty departments of some of her favorite magazines. After digging through the product closets of Glamour, Cosmo and Star she learned some interesting tidbits. Three of many:
- She will never, when faced with having to rush out the door sans makeup, be one of those girls who believes mascara is still a must. (Mattifying moisturizer? Totally different story.)
- There is no such thing as too many half-empty bottles of face wash on the shelf in your shower. Same thing goes for mismatched bottles of shampoo and conditioner.
- Gwyneth Paltrow has the most gorgeous head of hair on the planet.
While Julie loves beauty stuff (especially
recommending products to her friends!), her
exposure to the world of magazine editorial led to
the discovery of her intuition and love for new
media and digital photography.
Julie, now a Freelance Web Consultant, is now
determined to combine her beautiful past with her
digital future. She continues to discover many
interesting tidbits, such as:
- She would never dream of rushing out the door sans iPod.
- There is no such thing as too many gadgets on the shelf in your bedroom closet. (Same thing goes for unidentified USB cords in your sock drawer.)
- Steve Jobs may not have amazing hair, or an Oscar—but every one of his keynotes is as tear-jearkingly exciting as Gwynnie's '99 acceptance speech.
You Blog Like A Girl is Julie's humble contribution to the blogosphere, in her quest for finding a dotcom home...where she can be as geeky (and glamorous) as she wants to be.
